2025-26 Writing Center Conference

Every year, the Secondary Schools Writing Center Association (SSWCA) hosts a conference for secondary writing and peer tutoring centers. This year, the conference was in Storr, Connecticut on the campus of the University of Connecticut. One of our tutors had a proposal accepted for a conference presentation. The Learning Center requested funds to help offset the travel expenses for this tutor. The tutor got the opportunity to present at and attend a national conference. The knowledge and the experiences gained from the national conference will support all the tutors in the Skyline Learning Center. 

Thank you to the Skyline PTSO for helping to fund our tutor's trip to the Secondary Schools Writing Center Association Conference. It was a wonderful experience with two days of learning and inspiration that we will be bringing back to Skyline Learning Center. This is also an important professional experience the student will always remember.
