Recently, a PTSO Grant was used to purchase some DNA Modeling kits for Mr. Rettaliata's biology class. The students were modeling the two steps of how proteins are made from the DNA code - transcription and translation. This is a major concept in the genetics unit of Biology B, since this is how an organism is able to express its traits. Mr. Rettaliata believes these modeling kits will be worth their weight in gold for years to come, as this is one of the top concepts that students struggle with when taking Biology B. He is confident these modeling kits will help future students understand this concept much more clearly, beginning with next year's freshmen.
